What Are The Top Qualities of Leadership?

While there are different qualities of leadership, the qualities leaders are most known are having vision and working to implement those visions.

Leaders have the ability to recruit and drive others to achieve certain goals. Leaders understand how to influence people and build strategies.

There are several vital leadership qualities:

* Listening to other viewpoints: Good leaders know the importance of listening to and weighing other people’s opinions, and they do so in a positive way. They often find ways to base their goals and strategies on their followers’ feedback.

* They are good communicators: A leader knows how to speak clearly. They know when to be motivational and when to speak calmly. People find them very easy to follow because they give directions that are easy to understand.

* Good leaders also help their followers or team members understand the problems that are in the way of desired outcomes. Good leaders know how to also help their team find appropriate solutions.

* One of the qualities of leadership that is often looked over, but is really essential, is delegations. Leaders know the knowledge and skills of their team. They maximize this knowledge by asking for help.

* Good leaders express appreciation when team members have done their job well and deserve acknowledgement. Leaders know the importance of rewarding team members, and they know when to do it.

* Leaders also hold the quality of respect. They try to treat others how they would like to be treated. They follow the Golden Rule. They don’t just demand respect, but show that they deserve it.

* Good leaders are goal setters. They have the ability to set goals that are clear, understandable, and attainable.

* Leaders aren’t afraid to include innovation and creativity when setting and achieving goals.

* Good leaders also try to keep everyone involved in the strategies that they have implemented.

* One of the most important qualities of leadership also includes encouraging integrity, values, and ethics, in the workplace.

John Quincy Adams defined a leader as someone who inspired others to dream, learn, do, and become more. If you move people to do these things, you are probably on your way to becoming a great leader.
