Save Money And Travel To Vegas

by Chris Linch

Where can you make every penny of your hard earned travel fund count? If you are like many of us in this economy, then Las Vegas is the destination for you. There are free offerings everywhere, and you do not have to gamble to take advantage of these deals. This article will highlight some of the most important attractions that the frugal tourist should hit while in Las Vegas.

Want to take advantage of the beautiful Las Vegas nights? Catch the Bellagio fountain shows right in the middle of the Strip. The shows operate nightly, usually every 15 minutes (be sure to check with the casino for that evening’s schedule). The fountains sway to a variety of music, from classical serenades to popular hits. Each show feels like a different experience.

Did your kids like Pirates of the Caribbean? Witness a live pirate battle between sexy wenches and swarthy male pirates right on the Strip. There are four nightly shows right in front of Treasure Island. The shows are kid friendly and sure to please. Early birds get the best view, but beware. If you stand too close, you may get splashed.

Every kid loves the circus. Reminisce about your childhood or take your kids to the Circus Circus Casino. The casino hosts world-class midway acts every half hour. See jugglers throw balls into the air and trapeze artists amuse the crowd. Shows are different each time.

Sick of hanging out on the Strip? Then step out to see the Freemont Street Experience. Its an immersive experience. The covered walkway turns into a giant screen where you can see a light and sound show several times a night. Street performers and vendors line the area, so there is plenty of entertainment before and after the show.

Who could turn down a free piece of chocolate? Visit Ethel M’s Chocolate Factory (One Sunset Way) and find out if you have the willpower. Take a self-guided tour and see how their delicious confections are made. Eat a few free samples and browse their selection of treats. Located off the strip, Ethel M’s is a quite retreat away from the Strip’s bustle.
