Most people are always looking for ways to lower their income taxes owed to the IRS. They know that the more tax deductions they are able to take, the more tax savings they will have.

Before a taxpayer can understand the importance of knowing tax deduction limits, they have to understand what tax deductions are. Some people do not even know what they are because they never have to claim them. The concept of tax deductions is simple. Tax deductions are expenses that the IRS allows taxpayers to subtract from their income. The result is that, the more tax deductions the taxpayer can subtract from his or her income, the less taxes he or she will have to pay the IRS.

Most people prefer tax credits because tax credits give taxpayers dollars into their pockets whereas tax deductions just lower taxable income. If there is no income, then there is not use lowering it but tax credits may work even if there is no income to report.

Different IRS deductions have their own tax deduction limits. The standard deduction has the easiest limit because it is set by the IRS for anyone claiming the standard deduction. Most people who do not have outrageous expenses during the year will find it best to just claim the standard deduction which is usually more than their itemized deductions anyway. To claim the standard deduction, just tick the box that says standard deduction on your tax form.

If you are not qualified to take the standard IRS deductions, you can claim the itemized deductions. If you claim itemized deductions, it is very important that you know the tax deduction limits. Each itemized deductible expense will have its own limit that you cannot exceed. It is also good to know what the tax deduction limits are so that you can figure out if to claim itemized deductions or take the standard deductions.

If you do not know your tax deduction limits, you will not know if it is best for you to take the standard deduction or itemized deductions when you qualify for both. Most taxpayers figure out what they would owe the IRS both ways and then take the tax deduction route that gives them the lowest taxable income.

With most of your drop shippers, especially those with whom you do a regular business, you can send them labels and forms so their package looks like it is from you. Your customer probably won’t know that your hands never touched the product. The customer will think that you have a warehouse.

You can sell many more products than you could if you had to buy and store them yourself. Drop shippers give you a wide choice of products so you can sell a lot more.On the Internet some categories of products are very price-sensitive. If you are selling computer hardware, for example, and using the drop shipping model, you may find it hard to be competitive price-wise and still make a profit. The difference between making money and losing it may be only a few percent. So be sure to pick a product that makes sense to drop ship.

You will be using third party customer service so you will not have full control. Drop shipping is really outsourcing your order fulfillment services to a third party. You will be dependent on your drop shipper to have the products in stock, to deliver on time, and to properly pack and ship your products. So pick your drop shipper carefully.

You’ll also don’t have to deal with shipping your products. Unless you’ve already set up a shipping account with someone like FedEx or UPS, you’ll be heading down to the post office every day to buy stamps and mail out your products. And you’ll be able to ADD NEW PRODUCTS ALMOST INSTANTLY. Since you don’t have to worry about ordering inventory, you can add products to your web site within a few hours.

If you find that your customers are eager to buy a certain product, you can have that item up on your site in almost no time. Finally spend time researching different kinds of products that you might want to sell. The products you choose should be in demand but not widely available online. As usual, I highly recommend targeting a niche market rather than trying to find a product that EVERYONE wants to buy.

Once you’ve found a product that you think may be the right one for your business, you’ll need to do a little “competitive analysis.” This simply means finding out what potential competitors are charging for the products you want to sell and calculating how much of a profit you’ll be able to make. When it comes down to it…its all about ‘Testing, Testing, Testing!’

The History of Plumbing Technology Throughout the Centuries

Most of us living in the UK today take for granted the convenience of modern plumbing technologies, from a flushing toilet to a running tap of clean and potable water. Today nobody has to think about the changes plumbing has gone through or the history of the technology. However, the history of plumbing and its respective technology is long and interesting.

It was largely during the centuries when Greeks and the Romans ruled the known world that plumbing systems made their way into urban settings. The Greeks and Romans used plumbing to take clean water to the cities and houses and dirty water away from public bathing houses which was done mostly via a network of aqueducts during the Romans’ rule. In fact, the Roman way of aqueducts and lead piping was considered sufficient until the nineteenth century when underground piping systems took the place of the aqueduct system.

In ancient times, the pipes were constructed mostly of lead while the aqueducts were constructed of clay or stone. This is a stark contrast to the plumbing materials used today. In present times copper, brass, steel or even plastic are the most popular construction materials for pipes and plumbing systems. Lead has been discontinued permanently because it has a high toxicity level.

The bath houses that were popular during the Roman Empire were the real driver behind modern western plumbing calling for technical solutions from the ancient engineers. When the bath houses were first used and plumbing had not yet fully developed, the water in the public bath houses was only changed once a day and people bathed only while the sun was out. This is because bacteria had not yet been discovered and Romans had not yet learned how diseases and infections were spread. Sanitation had not yet evolved and a single change of water was considered efficient for that time’s hygienic standards.

The modern toilet, another staple of modern plumbing systems in the western world, is also derived from ancient times. The western toilet is largely based upon the toilets used in Mohenjo-Darco as long ago as 2800BC. These toilets were made from a wooden seat that was placed on top of a brick pile. In 2800BC only the richest citizens were allowed to use these toilets. It took as long as the middle of the 1800s for the sit down toilet that was so celebrated in ancient Rome to be adopted by western societies.

Once the sit down toilet and the other plumbing systems that were adopted by the Romans made their way into western society, the technology surrounding them advanced very quickly. It took less than a century for plumbing and toilet technology to move from aqueducts and holes atop brick piles to become the highly attractive designs for toilets and modern showers of today.

Today plumbing technology places pipes underground and the open sewage drains and cesspools associated with the aqueducts are mostly gone. Plumbing technology, along with the other marvels of the modern world, continues to increase in cleanliness and efficiency.

All the institutions and organizations today need its members to utilize an identification card which is a proof that they are a part of that particular institution. Identification card verifies, identifies and proves beyond doubt that a person belongs to that specific organization. The tiny, standardized plastic holds our photograph. This photograph attested document is the biggest statement of admission or recruitment for a student, employer or an employee. Few countries think of identification cards as compulsory. Others think of it as being voluntary.

The identification card may differ in form and content. There are few fundamentals which are common for all the identification cards though. The name, address, birth date and identification number is a must. Apart from this, it may hold a bearer’s profession or rank, date of expiry, date of issue and place of issue. All across the globe, a photo signature proof is a must. In fact, the contents of the card are largely determined by where and how it is going to be used. Institutions which need a more secure environment require fingerprints and other biometric information to be displayed on the identification card by its employees. The biometric data can include hair color, skin type, hair type and facial contours and measurement.

Sometimes an employee does not use the ID’s that are being given to them. There can be poor results of such violation of codes. Keeping away from using ID can cause serious issues for the company you are working for. The ID is meant to be a protection from unwanted invasion. There are people who try to enter an organization with harmful intent; such people can be kept at bay if a company issues proper identification cards to its members. ID cards are most wonderful instruments of surveillance. Any person without an ID feels insecure even psychologically.

The ID should be worn at a place where it is easily visible to all. It is not hard to understand. A badge of identification needs to be visible. It is a bare necessity. Different institutes believe in different protocols. Few ask the employees to wear the badge on the shoulder. Others may want the employees to wear it on the pelvic area. The idea is to adhere to whatever discipline the particular organization follows.

ID’s should also be properly taken cared of even if you’re already off from work or school. Once you’re out from work or school, keep your ID in a safe place where it won’t be misplaced and you could easily get hold with it when you’re going to work or school because sometimes it may be used by another person and get away with it. Don’t wet your ID because the plastic might be worn out and get destroyed or may look untidy.

Since you identification card is so important, how is it made should be the priority for its manufacturer. It should be durable yet attractive to look at since it can also be a part of your grooming and moreover it should not be bulky. Common for today are those E-card type.

Other usage of the identification cards are for bank account openings, claims of money or sending it, or any type of claims, entrance to an institution that requires for an identity check to avoid criminal entry, processing of passports, and many more dealings that will identify validity to the transactions that you are processing in their office.

Three sure fire ways to get paid on a past due account.

No matter what you do to try and weed out potential deadbeat customers, sooner or later one or more accounts will become past due. When you find yourself with a past due account on your hands, the worst thing you can do is ignore the problem. The more time that passes between the payment due date and the time that the customer is contacted, the less likely you are to receive the full payment. After 6 months, you statistically collect just 50% of the amount due and after a year that amount drops to only 25% of the original debt. If you are serious about turning a profit, there are three ways to handle the collection on past due accounts; in house efforts, hiring a collection agency, or taking legal action.

Collecting the debt yourself: If the debt is new or small, you’ll probably start by trying to collect the debt yourself before hiring a collection agency or a lawyer. The most effective way to start the process of collecting an outstanding debt is by calling the debtor. Be firm, yet polite when you call. Make sure to keep records of the time, date, and resolution of the phone call. You’ll want this information later should you decide to hire a collection agency or a lawyer.

Many past due customers can talk a great talk on the phone, but then never deliver. If you get the “I have the check right here and will send it in the mail” line from a business customer more than once, tell them you’ll send a courier service or someone from your office over to pick it up. If the business is local, try making an appointment with their finance manager to talk face to face.

Another effective way to motivate customers to make a payment is with a 10 day demand letter. Some debt collection agencies offer a free 10 day demand letter service that includes postage and mailing of a demand letter sent on official debt collection agency letterhead. Many times, this is enough to get your customer to part with their payment.

Hire a Collection Agency: Many small businesses do not initially think of hiring a debt collection agency to collect on past due accounts, but of the outsourced solutions, a debt collection agency is usually the most cost effective and will generate the best results. When you consider the in-house time spent trying to keep on top of delinquent customers, a debt collection agency is often more cost effective than trying to handle it with your own staff.

With a debt collection agency, you won’t pay a dime until they collect the debt, meaning that the debt collection agency is highly motivated to find a way to get the deadbeat to pay. Because they don’t get paid unless you do, a debt collection agency tends to work fast, They tend to “work at odd hours”, and use all of it’s professional resources to locate skipped debtors.

Today’s debt collection companies do not use scare tactics or bully customers. That type of behavior is outdated and crosses the lines of legality. Besides, not all customers who are behind on payments are deadbeats. It’s never wise in business to make enemies and gain a reputation as a brute force knee breaker for any customer who has a tough month. When you choose a debt collection agency, make sure one of its goals is to maintain extreme professionalism.

Taking legal action: Another option to collecting a past due account is to take legal action whether by taking the debtor to small claims court or by hiring a lawyer to pursue the debtor. This is by far the most expensive of your options.

Think Cooperation, Not Competition

Many of us are instinctively competitive creatures, and are always thinking in terms of ‘winning’ or ‘losing’.

It’s important to be able to tell the difference between a competitive event and one where the winner is determined through cooperation. Although there’s nothing wrong with wanting to win, our desires can hurt rather than help if applied in the wrong scenario.

Unlike normal competitive events internet marketing has no finish line or final goal. In football you want to score more points than the other team within a given time frame, in chess you want to ‘check-mate’ your opponent. Internet marketing is very different in that the game is never over and there is no time limit.

Internet marketing is at its optimum when it works to research, test, share and act on new ways to do internet marketing better. It works best when working within a community to better itself. Competitive attitudes get in the way and progress is much faster through cooperation.

Everyone gets involved and helps to push the boundaries of internet marketing, simply because everyone knows that there is a collective benefit when new technologies are developed and implemented.

If you are a competitive person you will want to compete to supply more leads, put together more joint ventures, help more people than your competitors.

The only way competition can help cooperation is by making us reach out to help others more quickly than our competitors. This is the only way to be successful at internet marketing.

There are more than enough customers out there for all of us. When one of us benefits, the rest will experience that benefit as cooperation spreads the word on the latest innovations within the industry.

Leading on from this is my next point. Stop blaming the Guru’s..

We have all met those people that always have an excuse for their own failures. Usually their failure was caused by someone other than themselves according to them.

When they tell their sad tales, they failed because of what somebody else did or didn’t do and the failure just simply wasn’t their own fault….they were VICTIMS. To hear them tell it they were just innocent bystanders when their business crumbled. Ha! Don’t you ever believe one word of that sad story. We all hold our own success or failure in our own hands.

Businesses fail, that’s a fact of life, but the reasons they fail cannot be laid at the feet of others. I’ve heard internet entrepreneurs blame the failure of their internet businesses on someone they scornfully call an ‘Internet Guru’.

According to these people, an ‘Internet Guru’ sold them products they didn’t need, flooded their email inbox with so many emails that they couldn’t get any work done and just generally led them down the wrong path and made their business fail.

When the very successful internet marketers (sometimes called ‘gurus’) make offers of products to their list of subscribers, they aren’t telling anybody that they are REQUIRED to buy the products.

If an offer, or product, is worthy of his list’s attention the successful internet marketer has is perfectly able to send this to his list with a clear conscience, even though he knows that this recommendation won’t be suitable for everyone on his list. But for several, it will be the perfect tool.

Each internet entrepreneur is responsible for their own success as well as for their own failure if it comes to that. Everybody should know their own business well enough to determine whether a product offered would be truly helpful or not and when advice is given, it is just that, ADVICE.

It isn’t an order that you must follow…it is only a suggestion. The decisions about your business are always up to you and you alone.
