A Few Rationales Why A Fence May Be Needed

by Connor Sullivan

For some persons, having a fence separating neighbors’ homes isn’t very neighborly, and shows condescension or even antipathy. A fence circling the yard seems to say, “Don’t impose”, “Keep away from my life”, or perhaps, “I don’t want to mingle with you”. But thankfully some people’ is not the majority, and most would state a home’s perimeter fence particularly certain styles of CT fences perform important functions that overbalance the apparently negative suggestions. Some of these desirable uses of CT Fencing are:

Property demarcation A fence marks the authoritative boundaries of a property so there are no disputes that might cause unneighborly actuations with any party. This is much more important should the property change owners and property limits need to be marked correctly. And you can always tell when an trespasser has entered your property even in the dead of the night.

Well-being and security In some places, alligators have been known to seek shelter in garages when no fences are present. In other areas, maybe cougars, coyotes and starving bears. But in the main, the neighbor’s canines, out to deposit some fertilizer in your backyard. It is not harmful, but bothersome nonetheless.

If you have a swimming pool, you would not want the neighbors’ kids wandering into it without your knowledge or adult presence, something hard to keep without a fence. Likewise if there are harmful plants in your premises like fox-glove, oleander and others. Or, if you grow some precious and rare plants you of course do not want them injured, which is likely from straying dogs or careless children. With a fence, such things don’t occur.

Preservation of discretion It can be comical —-but only for a short time that as soon as you brush your teeth and look out the kitchen window you spot your neighbor brushing his teeth and staring at you from out his window. So you will not want other people seeing you doing your thing, innocent or not, when unnecessary. The old-fashioned Chinese erect high fences around their property for this very element: privacy. People want to live their own existence their way.

Value increment A pleasing and durable fence can add visual and financial value to a piece of property so that the fence becomes an investment. Fences of steel, stone, concrete or natural materials can enhance the look of a particular property. English mansions normally have concrete or stone fences; suburban homes have vinyl, polymer or wood section fences, while the Japanese use bamboo or wood slats to set their gardens special. Although bamboo does not endure comparatively long, it adds much artistic value to the garden and therefore cherished.

A fence is like a picture frame: it limits but improves the looks of a property. A planned garden without a fence will appear like an aberration in a lea; or, worse, a misplaced declaration of a desired life. A fence can limit a view, true, but it can also create a world in its confines. Perhaps alimited world, but a reserved one created to your definitions and preferences.
